KDE stands for K Desktop Environment. its highly GUI integrated Environment it is not light weight environment comparing    to   LXDE   and   Xfce.     It requires good system requirement. Kubuntu a Linux operating system based on Ubuntu is running KDE plasma 5 Desktop Environment. KDE offers  most customizable desktop environment available. We can add widgets.
